my habitat poem

From a big vast desert
To the beautiful sea
These places are present
With animals you see

Habitats are homes
Habitats are places
Wherever you go
There right in front of your faces

the boy description

The boy

The boy in the lapis jacket was hunched forward gripping the game controller. Eyes glued to the TV, he ignored his surroundings like he was having a dream. He ignored his mum and the present that she gave him. He seemed uninterested. When sunlight came into the room, he cringed and acted like he was in a cave with no exit. Uncaring and selfish, the boy was torturing everyone.

The boy was moody and never let  anything come in his way; he was stubborn. Obsessed with video games, the boy was in a dark room and was ignorant to anyone that tried to take his attention away from the TV. The boy seemed heartless at first but then he got more considerate about others and treated them fairly.

blue coulor poem

WALT: Use figurative language in our writing

Blue reminds me of water gushing down a waterfall.
Blue tastes like fresh water from a mountain spring.
Blue is the immense force of rain spreading down my windowsill like tears on a sad face.
Blue smells like dirty socks in the washing.
Blue feels like sadness filling me up like a bucket of water .
Blue reminds me of feet going “Splash”in a puddle.
Blue looks like the slide on the junior playground.

Blue sounds like rain streaming on the window.
last week ,we created our own colour poem using a range of descriptive language

Where am I?

WHERE AM I?
You are able to see the long white cloud stretching across the land.
You are able to see long bay across the coast filled with swimmers and lifeguards.
The height of the famous tower is 328 meters high. You are able to see the towering heights up above the Ground

Where am I?

Red

Red looks like lava erupting from a volcano, engulfing everything in its path in flames.
Red looks like a majestic sunset on a beautiful summer day.
Red smells like a delicious apple pie and tomato sauce.
Red tastes like yummy, fiery pizza and spicy ghost pepper.
Red feels like the warm, cozy sun.
Red feels like rose petals touching my skin.
Red reminds me of fire destroying everything in its path.
Red reminds me of the blood we contain in our veins.
Red is hot, furious and represents anger.

Why kids should be in-charge speech

Why kids should be in charge
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if kids were in charge?  Well, I'll tell you just how they'll get there.

Firstly, kids know lots when it comes to technology- such as phones,  internet, social media and video games. Kids are fast learners, can easily adapt to new environments and will use technology to share new ideas with everyone. Spending the right amount of time on their devices can help them learn, improve and excel on their skills.

Talking about video games, probably all of you have heard of Nintendo. This is a world wide franchise with their most famous best selling games - Mario. Mario is one of Nintendo’s first games . Did you know… the first Mario game was made on the first of June 1983?...........Okay, kids can get distracted sometimes too. So, let’s go back to my topic about why kids should be in charge.

My second reason why I believe kids should be in charge is that kids have lots of energy.  They love playing with their friends and getting stronger in many different ways. They love running around with their friends and playing tag and sports together. They interact and learn together, sometimes they make mistakes but they can also learn from these mistakes to become more confident and be more aware of the importance of sharing.

Finally, kids think differently to adults. Adults sometimes worry too much about their children. They can overthink on small issues which kids can resolve within seconds, for example what’s for dinner, what clothes you are going to wear today and which movie to watch at the cinema.

To sum up what I have said, I think and hopefully all of you would agree with me that kids are smart, adaptive and can look after themselves. This is why I truly believe kids should be in-charge. Put your hands up if you agree with me?
